Google, the biggie, has come up with a new mapping technology. Google Maps boasts of one million users. News is that Apple will soon abandon Google Maps and launch its own mapping application that can be used on smartphones and tablets.

Google, in an effort to avoid any negative publicity due to Apple’s launch, previewed the features of the new technology. Among the features were 3D enhancements to Google Earth, use of satellite, aerial and street views and more. Continue reading →
