The best part about windows 8 is that it has allowed the giant corporations of the computer industry to manufacture the hybrid designs of laptops and tablets. These hybrid designs are gaining a huge popularity among consumers worldwide and sensing this, Asus has come with Transformer Book TX300 with a detachable display. The GPU’s in the middle range that have a price tag ranging from 80 up to 120 euros offer great price to power ratio, so the manufacturers try to offer as much as they can, for as little as possible. In this category are a lot of models that had at least 20 to 50% bigger price tag when they came out, but were there for a while, so the price tag went down.
MSI has introduced a version of the GTX 650Ti card, signed as Power Edition or PE. Continue reading
At the same time they introduced the Google Nexus 10, Google introduced their successor in the phone family, the Google Nexus 4. This phone has been made with collaboration with LG and it deserves to be named, a great phone. When compared to its predecessors it has a lot to offer and as the Google Nexus 10 it is made so that it will be used as a benchmark for how future phones should look like and to push developers to make new software in that manner. This summer we were amazed by the tablet that Google introduced with cooperation with Asus, their little wonder the 7 inch Nexus. This tablet blew every one away with the amazing specifications incorporated in that small package and the starting price of about $200. Now, Google has introduced the bigger brother, which was made incorporation with Samsung which has a lot to say for itself, even though it is a bit slower than the smaller one.

The last of the cards in this test comes from the American manufacturer XFX. The tested model is a part of their Black Edition, which defers from the rest of their offer by the great cooling technology Duratec, which incorporates high quality coils with a ferrite core. Their card looks appealing with the impeccably designed cooler that has a shield made out of brushed aluminum. In the price range of the Radeon HD 7770 this is really a rare thing, because the choice of material usually goes to plastic. Continue reading
The next card comes from the manufacturer HIS, which is not so well known, but it has a lot to offer. The card has their IceQ X suffix, which was formerly well known among the cooling systems of GPU’s as the DirectCU is now.
The first thing to notice on this card is the cooler that is very similar to the one used by Sapphire. Continue reading
As we said this is the second part of the comparison, where the opposition will be shown. It is firstly represented by the leader in AMD GPU production- the Sapphire 7770 card, which has been equipped in the Vapor-X clotting, even though this was formerly reserved for the high end cards.
Because Cape Verde- the chip that is on the HD 7700 is a low consumer chip, Sapphire has designed a reduced version of their cooler Vapor-X, while keeping the main characteristics the same. Continue reading
For the test we have chosen 2 GPU’s by Palit that are identical to each other, with the only difference being the dedicated RAM memory provided. Palit’s GPU’s look a lot simpler than the Asus GPU. Firstly, the cooler has the same dimensions as the board, so its overall size is almost half than the DirectCU II. The plastic cover hides only one fan that belongs to the TurboFan Blade family, which has a bigger cooling capability than a regular fan and produces less noise. Underneath it has a simple aluminum body that has a lot of ribs. The lack of heatpipes, copper parts and any other advanced tech is more than obvious. Continue reading
