HP TouchSmart 520 – At The Tip Of Your Fingers

HP TouchSmart 520We have already reviewed HP’s Omni27, all-in-one PC. Even though we were pretty happy with it, we have noticed some flaws one of which was that it lacked a touch screen.  Anyway a 27 incher is uncomfortable to use in a multi-touch surrounding so this version with its 23 inch is a much better choice.

TouchSmart 520 with its concept doesn’t differ much than the Omni27. The main difference is the touch screen. It has a standard resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The color reproduction is natural and well set from the start. The screen manufacturer is not listed but according to the view angles it should be an IPS matrix screen with a LED backlit. Sony has introduced in the phone industry a lot of smart phones with superb quality and magnificent design. They are using mainly the Android platform, which is expressed through their simple but elegant phones. Sony in the second quarter of 2012 is launching their Xperia S phone; with it they are introducing some new features like the NFC (Near Field Communication).

The phone itself has a 4.3 inch (720×1280) pixel LED-backlit screen, with Sony Mobile BRAVIA engine that is going to provide superb colors and lightning of the screen. Also multitouch with ten fingers capability is supported and it has a scratch-resistant glass. Read more of this post

The hottest thing this year is definitely the Ultrabook, as a way of the computer companies to strike back to the ever-growing market of the Tablets. On CES this year was said that “you couldn’t be more than 3 feet away from an Ultrabook”. So learning from the examples set by Macintosh, Asus and other companies that already started the revolution of the Ultrabook, Dell entered on this market with their own interpretation of a great investment.

The Ultrabook itself is made on the top side from a machined aluminum in silver, with the Dell logo on top. The bottom side is made out of carbon that will keep it cool and light. Read more of this post

At this stage they are preparing a new concept of gaming on the go, something that is an evolution of gaming and it is not a gaming console in the classical sense, but it is a tablet capable of everything that a normal tablet is capable of and a lot more. To add to this, they are designing it with your support as a consumer, listening to feedback and upgrading upon that.

Oh the children. They are our dreams, our hopes and they cannot prosper in these circumstances if they don’t have a laptop. Even the ones in Africa that cannot even have a roof over their heads are thinking of laptops. Well some one thought that every child needs a laptop, no matter where they live and what conditions they are in. I approve, but please first give them something to eat. With that of my chest, let’s continue.

The foundation One Laptop Per Child (OLPC), has been making low budget laptops for some time now, but with low success of making it cheaper than $100. So far they have supplied over 1.5 million laptops in over 25 countries and they are in 25 languages. Read more of this post

Sony is going to put on the market a new toy. It is the newest wonder that has been developed under their wing and it is called PSVITA. It is PSP’s younger brother but it has a lot more juice under its exterior.
