Recent research has come out with an important data that more and more American adults aged 65 or older use the Internet or email. The research is indicating the trend towards the large scale use of the web not only in middle-aged and young people, but also in the older generation.

According to the research, it was found that older people are going online in recent years. Till now, there was very little growth among Internet users in this age group. Today, as many as 53% of older Americans use the Internet and email, although they are not much into social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. For seniors, it is mostly email. Google cooked a lot of innovations for its fourth revision of their operating system, called Ice Cream Sandwich. Firstly, the mobile phones and tablets from now are united in one whole; this gives the programmers the opportunity to make applications for both platforms simultaneously. The hardware buttons are a thing of the past, because the new Android has three new software buttons in the strip, below the screen. Except for the standard “Home” and “Back” buttons, there is a third one that was borrowed  from HoneyComb and it shows the list of applications, which you used last.
