HP TouchSmart 520 – At The Tip Of Your Fingers

HP TouchSmart 520We have already reviewed HP’s Omni27, all-in-one PC. Even though we were pretty happy with it, we have noticed some flaws one of which was that it lacked a touch screen.  Anyway a 27 incher is uncomfortable to use in a multi-touch surrounding so this version with its 23 inch is a much better choice.

TouchSmart 520 with its concept doesn’t differ much than the Omni27. The main difference is the touch screen. It has a standard resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The color reproduction is natural and well set from the start. The screen manufacturer is not listed but according to the view angles it should be an IPS matrix screen with a LED backlit. Nintendo has always had its problems with the incomes, even though they sold over 10 million Nintendo Wii consoles per year. So, they are looking for their solution in the new gaming console that has made a big fuss in the gaming market, which is due earliest in June, if not latter. It is called Wii U and it should be a gaming console that will be compatible retrospectively, with the previous consoles and previous games, but it should bring an evolution in gaming. The main selling point of the console will not be the perfect graphics, or the multiple processors and gaming power, but the tablet controller.

Using the phone while driving is not just illegal, but at the same time it is very dangerous, because it distracts the driver and disables the driver’s ability to use both hands. Some unofficial reports say that if you are using the phone while driving, you will have for times bigger chance to be in a car accident than normal. That’s why there are different types of hands free devices that will allow you to talk on the phone while driving, lowering this chance of making accidents. The phone conversation will still take away your attention, but at least your hands will be free. Some people for using the phone use headphones which you clip on the ear, while others link the radio to the phone. This device is in the category of speakerphones. Throughout the past three years the Taiwanese giant Cooler Master has been developing the brand CM Storm that is supposed to make products which are made firstly for gamers. Under this brand we have the headset CM Storm Sirius 5.1, which promises a real 5.1 channel 3D sound that in many games can mean the difference between a frag and having your head blown off.

Sirius on a first glance is really impressive. Each headphone has four drivers – front, center, back and a subwoofer. On the left speaker there is a rotational flexible carrier for the microphone with a LED indicator for activity. Read more of this post
