JobOn includes videos in job profiles, video chat with employers

JobOn

JobOn

JobOn is a service that makes job-searching easy. It allows you to upload your videos or have face-to-face video chat with employers.

Anybody who has ever hunted for a job knows how time-consuming the whole affair is. You need to check out job listings in newspapers, search on different websites online and fill up various forms. What JobOn is doing is replacing this process with a one-stop website for job hunters where they can have a profile with video content, and have direct video chat with the employers who find the profile interesting.

Through JobOn, you can find, apply and get interviewed by companies through video. It does not need much skill to use JobOn. All you need to do is to sign up and create a profile. You can access it from your computer or smartphone.

The free video profile serves as a shortcut to find employment at grocers, restaurants, retailers and so on. Employers can too get to the right candidate through JobOn.

For both the employer and the employee to be happy with the arrangement, it is better they know before the actual hiring that they are suited to each other. Otherwise, both waste a lot of time, and finally quit. JobOn makes sure you are the perfect (well, almost) employee for the employer, and the employer is the perfect (again, almost) employer for you.

Anybody who has access to a web camera or smartphone can access JobOn. The service is absolutely free. Along with the web, JobOn is also available in select shopping malls and other places where there is a high concentration of jobs on a regular, supplemental or seasonal basis.

JobOn can be customized for companies to use as an exclusive private-label offering.

According to the company, they created JobOn because they wanted to fix the unchanged and inefficient system of hiring employees and hunting for jobs.

Identified – Recruiting Made Easy By Leveraging The Power of Facebook Data Bank

Identified

Identified

Identified is a search engine that helps target professionals from the largest bank of people online, Facebook. Through Identified, you can connect with other professionals, find employees and employers, interact with others in the same profession and increase your professional contacts.

This is how Identified works. It scans through millions of user profiles and assigns them a score based on educational background, work experience and connections. Companies, universities and organizations are also included. Their scores is the average of the individual scores of its members. It can become a serious competitor to famous LinkedIn.

Identified looks to make job hunting and staff hunting easy, effective and efficient. Sorting out good employees for good employers is a difficult task that takes a lot of time and effort, and that is where Identified helps you. One of the advantages of using Identified is that it takes out information from your already existing social media account so that you don’t need to spend time in opening and maintaining another account.

The tagline of Identified goes ‘Recruiting made easy’. Well, this is good news for both employers and employees, but it hints to weigh towards the employers. This newest social search engine has the features to grow big considering the unpredictability of social media market. In few weeks, it has grown to 120,000 registered users and 40 million searchable profiles on the site.

News is that Identified.com has been funded with $1.5 million by Silicon Valley’s premium investors. Identified was founded by Adeyemi Ajao and Brendan Wallace when they were students at Stranford University. Within a week of launch, 90% of students at Stanford were using the search engine. With this success rate and the hope of greater success in social networking, Identified.com is all set to challenge some big names.

Identified, beta, version has been launched. The company is based in San Francisco and has 25 employees.
