Sony Xperia U

Sony Xperia UThe characteristics by which Xperia U differs from the rest of the Xperia models are the see through line that is just above its base, through which a specific colored light illuminates according to the content that showed on the screen, i.e. the dominant shade. If that is not cheerful enough for you, you can take of the plastic cover of the base and change it with another color cover. Last the battery cover can also be easily changed in a different color variant, with which the color combinations are exponentially expanded. Curios teenagers will probably flip out at this notion and the more conservative users can introduce a bit of color into their everyday life.  Read more of this post

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 – A Wrong Turn

Samsung Galaxy TabIf we look back in the Honeycomb era (in the time of the first real Android tablets) Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was at the top. A lot was expected from its successor, so lets see what it has to offer.

The overall look when comparing to its predecessor didn’t change much. Around the screen black is the dominant color, with an addition of some grey, which covers the back side. Left and right of the screen you can see small grills that are hiding the speakers and on which you should look out for not to cover. The new 10.1 inch Tab is a bit thicker and weighs more than the predecessor, but you wont mind because it is still one of the lightest Android tablets. Samsung didn’t put any metal in this edition also, keeping it all in plastic. Read more of this post

HTC Desire C

HTC Desire C

The Taiwanese HTC brings us a new Desire C, a heavily rumored Android phone, which photos leaked on several mobile phone web pages in the last month. The blurry images showed a smaller device with only 3 capacitive buttons, common for the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which design was somehow familiar. Previously codenamed HTC Wildfire C and HTC Golf, the device did some close-up shots.

We can clearly see that the device resembles the design of the Wildfire family, but at the end, HTC decided to give the Desire family name.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus – Google Ice Cream Sandwich Flagship

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

It was a phone that was waited for a long time, the first one equipped with the fourth generation Android operation system. What does Android 4.0 bring us and is the third representative of Google’s Nexus series as some say, the most advanced Android gadget?

After Nexus One which was designed by HTC, Google for the second one switched its maker with Samsung, who changed the number two with the letter S. The Koreans did their job even better than imagined so they deserved to make the third edition as well. Galaxy Nexus continues with the bold design from its predecessor, in doing so it kept the curved screen, making it more comfortable for usage and also making it more esthetic. Read more of this post

Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich- Fourth Generation Operating System

Google's Ice Cream Sandwich

Google's Ice Cream Sandwich

Google cooked a lot of innovations for its fourth revision of their operating system, called Ice Cream Sandwich. Firstly, the mobile phones and tablets from now are united in one whole; this gives the programmers the opportunity to make applications for both platforms simultaneously. The hardware buttons are a thing of the past, because the new Android has three new software buttons in the strip, below the screen. Except for the standard “Home” and “Back” buttons, there is a third one that was borrowed  from HoneyComb and it shows the list of applications, which you used last. The old “Menu” now is transferred from the “Base” strip and now, its position is different in every application and some applications don’t have it at all. Read more of this post
