Mac Book Pro with Retina DisplayApple has made a big change on the market introducing their retina display. They have put this display on the iPhone and now came the top of the line, Mac Book Pro. Macintosh didn’t make a big fuss about that, instead they pulled back their offer of the Mac Book Pro and exchanged it with the new and improved Mac Book Pro with retina display.

As expected from NVidia soon after they announced their new architecture Kepler and their new GTX 600 series, NVidia has presented their flagship graphic card, the model GTX 690. This card had its first grand introduction on the Shanghai LAN/NVidia convention. As all the other representatives from the 600 series, they have used the new smaller process of production of 28nm and the brand new architecture, Kepler.

The card GTX690 has two- GK104 GPU’s and according to NVidia the performances are equal to two GTX 680 graphic cards, connected in a SLI mod. Read more of this post

At the beginning of this year AMD has brought a graphic card chipset that brought the strongest competitor on their knees. The platform is called Tahiti XT and it is the fastest graphic-card ever built, but all that force comes with a big price. So as always according to AMD’s strategy; they start with the strongest followed by weaker and more affordable models. The strongest card was named- Radeon HD 7970 and the model that we are reviewing now is the referent basic card and it’s named- Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5.

Implemented in this card is the chip Tahiti Pro which is the same chip as the Tahiti XT but with lowered number of functional units. Respectfully Radeon HD 7950 has 1792 stream processors and 112 texture units. Read more of this post

All the previous generations that were made by AMD and modified by Sapphire were great and were beating the other competitors by performance and style. The final statement in my mind and I know the others will agree, is that it’s a company that makes superb products and now they are presenting another successor to accompany that hall of fame. It is a top model graphic card and it is called 6970 HD. This graphic card is definitely the best card that you can find on the marked today and the full name is “Sapphire RadeonHD 6970 2GB GDDR5 Dual Fan”.

On a first glance the card resembles an older model Sapphire HD 6870 Dirt3, but first glances are misleading. These two cards have similar coolant systems, but HD 6970 has five heat pipes and the one on the HD 6870 has only two. The coolant is more massive and the whole card is longer.
