HTC 8X – Is It Up For The Challenge

HTC 8XHTC is coming back strong on the market and now they are trying to overcome the market by introducing their new phones with Win8. To do this, they are introducing their line of Win8 phones and they have two representatives, one for the high-end market and another for the midrange. The HTC 8X- or Windows Phone 8X is their high-end response to Nokia’s Lumia 920. But is it good enough?

The phones’ design looks awesomely familiar, but with its own charm. It has a very slim bezel and the back of the uni-body is slightly curved, with curved edges on the sides. The back panel is made out of smooth high end plastic. Read more of this post

HTC 8SAs everyone is eagerly awaiting the coming out of the new Win8, the tensions are rising and we see more and more Win8 phones on the market. This is the case with HTC 8S, which is a midrange response by HTC for this upcoming battle. The phone is also called Windows Phone 8S. This phone will come out at the same time with its stronger brother the HTC 8X and they both have to satisfy a part of the market.

Samsung ATIV SAmong all the new stuff presented on IFA this year in Berlin, Samsung surprised the public with their presentation of Samsung ATIV S, the first phone to work on Win8 platform. This was a big surprise, because everyone was waiting for Nokia to be the head runner in this department. Again Nokia is falling behind with its delivery, but as they are announcing they are going to present new technologies with the new line of Win8 phones.

Samsung Galaxy Note IISamsung is continuing their trend of building big phones and as a logical step in that direction they took the biggest they had and made it even bigger. The previous Galaxy Note was called a monster of a phone because of its 5 inches, well now it’s time to meet its younger brother, which is on steroids measuring 5.5 inches.

Motorola has introduced their new flagship device called Motorola Atrix HD, which is going to be a replacement for the already old Motorola 4G that was the center of attention last year. On 23rd of April, LG introduced to Europe, its newest, second generation 3D mobile phone, called LG Optimus 3D Max P720. Even though 3D mobile phones didn’t become the next big high, LG is pushing forward and improving the 3D technologies implemented in their phones. At the moment, this phone holds every 3D enhancement technology that LG has to offer, in it. They consider that, with these enhancements, it will wow the customers and hook them onto 3D phones for good.

The specifications of the device itself are nothing special but, the technologies are. It has a 4.3 inch WVGA 3D display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 2(that seems to become a standard nowadays), with a pixel density of 217ppi or, resolution of 480×800 pixels. Read more of this post

With more than thirty million sold samples in 2011, Galaxy S is one of the most popular phones in Samsung’s portfolio. The model that made Apples’ representatives scratch the board and lose their fingernails has been revised and updated so it will be up to date and cope and even exceed the competition. This updated model comes with a pimped processor that now runs on 1.4 GHz.

Galaxy S Plus except for the faster processor now has a battery with additional 150 mAh, which should satisfy the increased needs of the phone (and it does that well). All the other characteristics are the same like in its bigger brother; the casing is made with high quality plastic, which absorbs prints better than a police print ink, at the same time it is smooth and light, while the screen that is protected with Gorilla Glass protection layer makes it scratch free. Toshiba is going to renew their tablet collection with some brand new models. It has introduced in CES and again in Mobile World Congress their tablets. They got some bad remarks about being a bit chunky and having a bad battery life but, all of that is fixed now, and they even got a new aluminum back. The selection of tablets will fall upon 3 types or sizes of tablets. In their offer they have a 7, 10 inch and even a 13 inch tablet. Yes you are seeing right, there will be a 13 inch one. A lot of reviewers are asking if there is going to be a market for a tablet this big. But Toshiba is convinced that it will find its way in the kitchen. Read more of this post

HTC has its newest line up on the racks, coming out this spring. And, what a show it is going to be. They are presenting, a full line of phones, with new technologies implemented and with a lot of new features. Even though HTC One S is a middle range phone, it has something to say. It comes with some features not shown even in the high end phones.

HTC one S comes in a standard shell for HTC, with a relatively generic outlook for a HTC phone but, it has some things that are specific for it, only. Firstly, it has a back panel that is made by a new material made by HTC. It is a material made in two steps and it is said that, it is five times stronger than stainless steel and aerospace aluminum.  The other new cool feature is its camera. It can take up to 94 pictures in a minute and also take a full 8MP picture, while filming a video. This will be great when filming children, or just taking a picture, in the right moment. The hottest thing this year is definitely the Ultrabook, as a way of the computer companies to strike back to the ever-growing market of the Tablets. On CES this year was said that “you couldn’t be more than 3 feet away from an Ultrabook”. So learning from the examples set by Macintosh, Asus and other companies that already started the revolution of the Ultrabook, Dell entered on this market with their own interpretation of a great investment.

The Ultrabook itself is made on the top side from a machined aluminum in silver, with the Dell logo on top. The bottom side is made out of carbon that will keep it cool and light. Read more of this post
