DokDok – An Unique Email API For Rich Email Integration And Collaboration

DokDok‘s newly developed Email API can extract attachments and messages from  messes in our mailbox and arrange them in more structured conversations. It might be a handy tool for application developer when it comes to deal with huge email messages.

Mailbox is the place where all sort of conversation, collaborations and documents exchanges happen and day by day it becomes a big mess of information. Our inbox contain multiple version of same documents, CC and BCC messages making it quite difficult for a developer to extract potential information searching through the entire mail box using IMAP protocol. DokDok‘s Email API works more efficiently than a traditional IMAP call where you can use a simple HTTP call to get information on emails. Developer working with project management software, collaboration software or CRM can take advantages of the API and make their application more intelligent.

The DokDok‘s Email API offers following features which you can utilize when developing your software application:

  • It takes one or many email address and return a list messages or attachments;
  • If a file name is given it’ll return other versions of that document attached to any message;
  • If it is given a file name it’ll return related files attached to any messages;
  • Get the list insertions and deletions between two versions of a document attached to different messages;
  • It can show a preview of an attachment in a web browser;
  • It can also show a side-by-side comparison of two versions of a document found in the mailbox with changes highlighted.
