At the beginning of this year Canon has refreshed their collection of compact PowerShot cameras and between them the two cameras that we are reviewing today found their place. Because the only difference between them is the optical stabilization that found its place on the (IS) version, we are reviewing them at the same time.

These cameras with their look and dimensions look more like the models from the Ixus series than a true PowerShot’s. The housing is small and made in high quality and the camera itself is quite light. The front side of the housing is made out of colored metal, while the other side is plastic and black.
