As our question states there are a lot of users that give a lot of money for some machine that will never use its full potential and was bought just because they wanted more.
Well Google with collaboration with Samsung made a Chromebook that is made just for the common user. This notebook has a very low price tag and hardware that is just enough.
It will be released on the 22.10.2012 and will have price tag that will attract everyone that is in the market for something like this.
It is an 11.6 inch notebook, with a screen that hasn’t got too big viewing angles and is not that perfect, but it has a max resolution of 1366 x 768, that is quite enough for an notebook its size. It is quite thin measuring about 2sm in its thickest point and it weighs just 1.13kg that makes it really portable and light.
The casing is made out of high quality plastic and the design especially of its keyboard looks extremely like MacBook Air. The resemblance to that keyboard means it is really good and is quite good and easy to handle. The touch pad is quite good as well.
In the connection aspect it has a Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1xUSB 3.0 port and 1xUSB 2.0 port. It also has a full SD card slot for extra memory (maximum 64GB) and a full size HDMI port. The problem with the HDMI is that it will show a lag when playing an HD movie, because of the slow processor.
The processor is a dual-core Samsung Exynos 5 next gen. processor that is good enough for smooth running of the operating system and even a HD movie.
The Chrome book comes with 16GB built in extended with the SD card. The newest Chrome operating system has the capability to use Google Drive as additional space. The notebook has a battery life of 6.5 h.
This Chromebook will be available from Google store for a price of just $250 and for additional $50 you can have the 3G version.
