Sony Xperia Tablet S – Revising Their Mistakes

Sony Xperia Tablet SSony had a lot of success with their product over the years, but they never had a big success with their tablets. Even though they were producing some really revolutionary designs, when concerning this line of products like the Tablet P, or the Tablet S they never managed to hit the spot. One of them didn’t succeed because of the design, the other because of the bad hardware. Now, they claim that they learned from their previous mistakes and they incorporated what they learned in the new Xperia Tablet S.

This tablet has a considerably less bedazzle, but it still has a unique minimalistic look. It has a silver aluminum back and a black front with curved edges and its top edge follows the line folding over to the back, still keeping the folded paper look of its predecessor the Tablet S, but in a more elegant way. The rocker keys, the power button, headphone jack and a full SD slot, found their place on this double back of the tablet. The bottom side has a big connector slot that is quite ugly, but will be a connection place for all the additional hardware like a keyboard stand.

The tablet has a 9.4 inch screen, with a really thick black bezel on the sides. The screen itself is a 1280 x 800 TFT LCD screen that shows really good colors, true blacks and great viewing angles. The screen is not a top of the line, but it’s up there. It comes with a Tegra 3 chipset that will provide great performances, running every new game and software. It has really loud stereo speakers, found at the bottom. The battery life is great, enabling the user to have 10h of uninterrupted multimedia experience.

The other selling point made by Sony is that it has an IR blaster that will make it act as a remote for everything that you have. The bad thing is that it runs on Android 4.0, but Sony ensures that there is going to be an update up to 4.1.

The price of the Tablet S is going to be $399 that makes it a great buy for the price.
