Motorola RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD – Flagships Of The New Motorola Lineup

Motorola RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HDMotorola has had a lot to show over the last month and while we are still waiting for Win8 and their show of Win8 phones- if any, these models had a big launch last month, as leaders of the Motorola revolution. The lineup was not so vast, but enough to stir up some commotion. In it Motorola has introduced three phones, of which we are reviewing two now, because essentially they are almost identical.

The Motorola RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX HD have the same specs when it comes to their dimensions and hardware, except that RAZR MAXX HD is a bit heavier (11g) and thicker by less than a mm. The second thing is that the RAZR MAXX HD comes with a 3300 mAh battery, instead of a 2530 mAh one in the RAZR HD. And the last difference is that the RAZR MAXX HD comes with 32GB usable memory onboard, instead of 16B in the RAZR HD.

The rest of the specifications are the same. Starting with the dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, accompanied by Adreno 225 GPU and 1GB of working memory, the same 4.7 HD Super AMOLED 720p screen that stretches from edge to edge (this is one of the most mentioned things by Motorola), covered by Gorilla Glass protection and a Nano-coating. The back is made out of Kevlar and the front side bezel has the same aluminum frame. They both have the same 8MP back camera accompanied with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera.

Both of the phones come with Android 4.0.4 ICS, but Motorola promises that there is going to be an upgrade to 4.1 Jelly Bean at the end of the last quarter. They are packed with some apps like Google Chrome that Moto claims to be faster than the normal Browser and even Apples Safari browser.

They are LTE capable and offer all the latest and greatest from the connection aspect, including a microHDMI port and NFC. Their price will vary according to the operator but Amazon is offering RAZR MAXX HD for $49, with a 2 year contract.
