LC Power LC10TAB-A10 MIRA-1 – A Long Name For A Mediocre Tablet

LC Power LC10TAB-A10 MIRA-1The Chinese power case manufacturer LC-Power has been a favorite for a while now between the consumers with a shallow pocket, mainly because they offer a good performance/price ratio of their products. They have expanded their portfolio over the years so from their power casings they expanded to a vast field of PC accessories and components. So, when they introduced their tablet MIRA-1 no one was surprised.

MIRA-1 has a 10.1 inch TFT LCD screen with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Its thickness of 14mm will be quite noticeable and with a combination of 690g, it is quite tiresome for a long usage.

The frame of the casing is made out of metal, which gives it a long lasting look, but the plastic back panel and sharp edges spoil that impression. The navigation buttons give out the same impression they are deep and quite loud, but when you consider that this tablet comes with ICS software the buttons are almost unusable.

MIRA-1 is based on an All Winner A10 platform, which is getting more popular in the eastern products. It has a single-core processor ARM Cortex A8 that runs on 1.2GHz, combined with 1GB RAM and a Mali 400 GPU. Its GPU is a surprise for this class and its power surpasses some GPU’s in much stronger tablets, but the sore throat is the single-core processor that will give a smooth work, but will choke on a more demanding work. It has 8GB of dedicated memory and a microSD slot. It has a small 0.3 MP front camera that is enough for Skype calls but not anything else.

The biggest remark is its screen, because its resolution is quite small for its size and the TN panel doesn’t help because it has low viewing angles.

But, it comes with a great price of 190€ on the European market that makes it a good buy for the ones with a shallow pocket.
