Fundable: Raise Funding Online

FundableFundable is the first to take advantage of the Jobs Act, also known as the Crowdfunding Bill which allows startup companies to publicly raise money from anyone who wants to back them up. Fundable makes investing a lot more accessible, providing two ways to support companies, that is through rewards or equity.

The rewards earned by Backers range from product pre-orders, unique gifts, to special incentives by the companies’ founders in exchange for pledging capital. If you have larger investments, they can also offer equity in their companies. In a nutshell, Fundable allows people to pool funds to make purchases or raise money. Like online auctions, the pages in Fundable are created by the website users.

How Fundable Works:

  • Startups Submit an Application to Fundraise- Reviews are done to application to make sure the startup is a good fit for the Fundable Backer community. Then when it’s approved, Startups can start to build their profile and start the fundraising.
  • Startups Ask Backers for Funding- Startups will then provide a funding profile where information is provided: a company overview, fundraising goals, and the rewards they are going to provide to potential backs.
  • Backers Pledge Money Toward Startups they Like- Through the form of cash pledges which can start at $1, Backers can offer their support. This is in exchange for rewards provided by Startups.
  • Backers Also Offer Personal Assistance: Personal assistance can also be offered by Backers. Each offer is absolutely free and voluntary to the startup, but helps get startup off the ground.
  • Funding Only Successful if Goals Are Met: Fundable uses all-or-nothing funding which means that startups only receive their funding if their fundraising goals are met.

Indeed, this is the best way to pitch your company, attract more investors, and raise funding online!

Awesome article. This is very good information. I totally agree that funding is only successful if goals are met. Thanks!
