Sony is going on the market by them self this time and as it was anticipated they are reviewing their whole series. They started with the Sony Xperia T as a flagship and it was ok, but they know that they have made a killing on the lower end of the market over the years and to satisfy the bargain hunters they are now bringing to the market their new low end device and this time it comes with a preinstalled Android ICS and specs that are enough for the not so demanding users.

As we said it is a low end device and it’s not made to break any speed limits, but the bad thing is that it is even slower than its predecessor, the Xperia mini. It is a 3.2 inch phone, with a low resolution of (320×480) and a mediocre color representation. It comes with an 800MHz Cortex-A5 processor and the old Adreno 200 GPU. It has 512MB RAM and 2.5GB storage space, in addition to which you have at your disposal a microSD slot, that can hold up to 32GB card.

It comes with only a rear facing camera that has 3.15MP and it has a fixed focus. We don’t have to tell you that it is not that good, firstly because of the low pixels and because it lacks a LED flash.

From the connectivity aspect it has Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and a micro USB port. Because of the slow processor and old GPU don’t expect to view a HD movie and in addition it lacks a DivX/Xvid support. It has a 1500mAh lithium battery that can give you a full day.

Even though it is disappointing in some views, it ranks high on the benchmarks, when compared with other low end devices. And for the price of about $150 it is quite good.
