iPhone 5 – Revolutionary???

iPhone 5The hype of iPhone 5 has come to an end with its introduction and the specifications are in, so the big questions on every one’s mind is if it is a revolutionary new product, or just a minor improvement. According to the Apple worshipers it is a revolution that is going to bring every other company to their knees, but to the rest of the world it could have been better. The specifications are behind the rest of the companies flagships and can be said that are mediocre, but enough to run its iOS and everything that you throw at it.

So, the final thing is that it has improved in the diagonal and now it has a 4 inch diagonal, when compared to the predecessor, which had a 3.5 inch diagonal. Also, it has an improved dual-core processor running at 1.2GHz, which they say is 20% better than the predecessor’s 1GHz Cortex-A9 processor. The chipset has been also changed and now it is called A6. In accordance to this it has a new GPU- PowerVR SGX 543MP3. It comes with 1GB of RAM as a standard and the same choice between a 16/32/64 GB internal storage, as the previous models. The camera has stayed the same 8MP with LED flash, with a slight improvement in the panoramic picture taking and a simultaneous video and picture taking tech.  The screen is brilliant as always and now with increased pixels according to the diagonal measuring 640 x 1136 pixels, still falling behind some of the competition. In the communications department it has a Bluetooth 4.0, but no NFC, so, no electronic payments for now. They included also a LTE chip, so, it can hold a proper 4G network and its speeds.

All in all not a disappointment, but nothing that we haven’t seen so far. But, it is enough that the design is changed a bit and the weight and thickness are changed, for a lot of the Apple worshipers to pull out additional $200 bucks in a 2 year payment plan for it.
