Xiaomi is another Chinese company that is coming to the world market and is knocking at the doors. They have been one of the companies that have been lurking in the shadows until recently, but now they are gaining on popularity with their products. Now, they are announcing to put on the international market their newest product the Mi-Two phone, which will be as strong as all of today’s phones, with a cheaper price.
They beat LG in the introduction of their newest phone, which will work on a quad-core Krait processor even though LG’s Optimus G will be the first to ship. Xiaomi will start production of the Mi-Two on 22nd of September.
Except for the quad-core Krait processor and the new Adreno 320 GPU, which is the strongest processor yet (it will be even faster than the Galaxy S III), it will have some amazing specs as well. It will come in two versions, one with 16GB and the other with 32GB of internal memory, with an additional microSD slot for expansion. It will have a 4.3 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 720p (342ppi), it is based on a Qualcomm-APQ8064 chipset and will have 2GB of RAM working memory. There will also be a choice of a standard 2000mAh battery and an optional 3000mAh. It also includes an 8MP camera with a LED flash that has F/2.0 aperture and a front facing 2MP camera. As for connections it will include the HSPA+ mobile connection in addition to the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, with their modification skin called MIUI.
The Mi-Two is expected to start shipping at the end of October with a price of €225 for the 16GB version. The price of the 32GB model is still unclear, but it shouldn’t be a big difference.
