Samsung Galaxy S Duos – Dual SIM Phone With A New Look

Samsung Galaxy S DuosSamsung has been on the top of the phone market for a while, always bringing us their models and impressing the public with their slickness and overall design, and now they have updated their dual SIM phone and made it similar to their flagship model the Galaxy S III. Even though it looks like the SIII, it is still a phone that lacks the power of it, but it is a big step up for a fully functional dual SIM phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S Duos took all the best features of its big brother and made them its own. It has a smaller diagonal of 4 inches represented by a WVGA screen represented by 480×800 pixels, a slim design of its own, but not as slim as the Galaxy S III, and an Android 4.0.4 operating system, which incorporates an TouchWizz UI in a combination with Nature UX- a combination that was introduced in the Galaxy S III.

All of this is packed in a plastic casing that doesn’t have a cheap feeling and a rubbery back cover that will provide a good grip on the phone. On the lower front side of the phone you can see the hardware home button and additional capacitive buttons that we saw in the previous phones, prior to ICS. The bad thing is that the screen has a bad contrast ratio, so it will be difficult to work on daylight.

The other bad thing is that it works on a single-core Cortex processor clocked at 1GHz, accompanied with an outdated Adreno 200 GPU and 768MB RAM, which will have a difficult time pushing all that software. It has a back 5MP camera with an LED flash and a front VGA camera. The battery is a 1500mAh.

This will be a great phone for some one that needs the dual SIM option while having a slick look, but not good for some one that wants a good performance phone to go with that.
