Sony Xperia T – Sony’s Flagship

Sony Xperia TSony as a well-known company for delivering high end products was falling behind in the pace of introducing a top model smart phone, but they are trying to correct this with their new line of smartphones which kept the prefix Xperia. For this they are introducing three new phones in the Xperia line with the suffixes Xperia T, Xperia J and Xperia L, of which Xperia T is the flagship phone.

Xperia T doesn’t bring anything new at the market, but by itself it is a great phone. Sony has changed the previous flimsy plastic back panel with a rubbery cover, which ensures a good grip. Also, they kept the previous curving of the phone introduced in the Arc model.

The phone as we said is not falling in the line of the strongest there is, but it works great even with its dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor, accompanied with Adreno 225 GPU. The screen is a 4.6 inch, capable of reproducing 1280x720p, but it also has a built in BRAVIA engine, which helps in the reproduction of beautiful colors, good lightning and sharp images. As they say the screen is scratch proof and shatter proof.

The rest of the insides are represented by 1GB of working memory and 16GB storage space that can be expanded by additional 32GB microSD card. The camera is one of the best features with a max 13MP and a single LED, but it is capable of introducing a full HD movies and great quality pictures. The front camera is 1.3MP capable of filming a 720p -30fps, which is not often seen in phones.

The phone has all the standard connections including the new NFC, which has become a standard by itself. The phone works on Android 4.0.4 ICS, which is a drawback, but we hope they are going to release an update soon. The battery is not that big, measuring 1850mAh.

This phone and its smaller siblings are going to hit the streets soon, the price is still unknown, but it’s not going to be cheap.
