HTC Desire X – Something For The Middle

HTC Desire XHTC has been numb for a while and that doesn’t smell good especially in this fast pace, fast changing mobile device world. Now, they have introduced on the market a phone that will come out this month and by the specs it seems it is a middle range device, for the everyday consumer.

This smartphone is definitely a middle range, but enough with the high end devices, not everyone can afford a flagship device. The phone has a great look and feel as its back plate has a unibody look. The back plate can also be changed with the different back covers that come with the device. Under the back cover are hidden a full sized SIM card slot and a microSD slot.

The HTC Desire X is a 4 inch Super LCD multitouch smartphone, with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The choice of screen is justified, because it lowers the reflectiveness. This device is been powered by a dual-core Snapdragon processor, running on 1GHz. It has 768MB of working memory and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded by the microSD slot. The phone has a great camera for the middle range. It is a 5MP camera equipped with a LED and a BSI sensor, which helps in low light situations. It is capable of filming and shooting at the same time, as well as doing a burst of 2.5 pictures per second.

They included even an NFC chip in the connections as well as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, a/b/g/n and DLNA connection module. The company is also bragging about the implementation of Beats audio, which will enhance the audio quality of the device. The device is powered by a 1650mAh battery, which is easily accessible.

The Desire X should hit the streets soon with a great price. The only bad thing is that it doesn’t have a front camera.
