Nokia Lumia 920 – Nokia’s Win8 Flagship

Nokia Lumia 920Nokia hasn’t been mentioned for a while now and that is because of their mistakes, which are lining up one after the other. They went from being the ultimate leader falling just behind Mac, to the ultimate loser. They fired more than 2/3 of their staff; closed a lot of factories and still they cannot get on top, even though they make some of the sturdiest phones and have a lot of innovations in their closet. They kept banging at the door with their own operating system, even though everyone has moved on.

This time again, they are trying to go on to the market with Microsoft beneath their wings. They wanted to be the first company to bring Win8 capable phones to the market, but Samsung ruined their chance, by introducing their Win8 phone first. Nevertheless, Nokia is going to introduce their Win8 phone after the official launch of Win8 on the 26th of October.

The phone specs are looking great and all the marks go to Nokia. The most important innovation that this phone incorporates is that it is going to charge wirelessly. It is going to implement the Qi wireless standard that enables the phone to be charged by a magnetic strip fitted on the back of the device.

The device is going have a 4.5inch HD screen, a dual-core processor that will run on 1.5GHz, 1GB of working memory and 32GB internal storage. The other impressive thing is that it took from its predecessor not the camera, but the technology implementing the PureView tech, which makes industry type pictures, even though it is an 8MP camera.

The phone will come in different colors. There are pictures of it coming in red and yellow.  The phone will first be unveiled on the 5th of September, at Nokia World.
