LG EA93 – Biggest Desktop Screen So Far

LG EA93IFA fair was very productive this year. A lot of companies came to show off their newest baby’s and among them was LG, going bigger than the rest. They introduced a lot of innovations and new products, which were bloated versions of their predecessors, but some are totally new. One of the show-off models was the EA93, a desktop screen, which has enormous proportions for today’s standards. This screen also implements a new aspect ratio 21:9, which is implemented at the movie theatres, providing movie watching without those pesky black lines.

So, taking out the big guns means that this screen is a 29 incher, with the previously mentioned 21:9 aspect ratio. It is an IPS monitor with a pumped up WQHD resolution (2560×1080 pixels) that can support a new four way split screen view and as they claim it can display sRGB with 100% accuracy. Also it has 300 nits brightness and a response time of 5ms.

As we have said, it will be perfect for watching Blu-ray movies, as well as a professional’s choice, for all the professionals which use two screens for their work, or just are in the need of some more work space. The screen can be used also as an extended screen, providing enough space for a side by side browsing, or using any other side by side programs needed by the user. With its width you can check the stock market while surfing, or work in Photoshop on one side while watching a movie.

The screen is made out of high quality plastic with thin black rims on the side and white on the back, while the stand has a chrome finish giving it a good professional look. The controls are on the bottom right side. The back is an explosion of connectors, providing more connectors than your desktop. It has 3 USB 3.0, Display Port, DVI-in, 2 HDMI-in, and it has two 7 watts speakers.

The screen has not been introduced on to the market, so the price is still unknown, but it will be quite a lot, when you see all the screens capabilities.
