Motorola Atrix HD- Motorola’s New Flagship

Motorola Atrix HDWell here is another good thing why to be an American. Motorola has introduced their new flagship device called Motorola Atrix HD, which is going to be a replacement for the already old Motorola 4G that was the center of attention last year. This phone is a well-made replacement and it is full of potential, as it should be, minding that is representing one of the biggest GSM companies in the world as its flagship.

The Motorola Atrix HD is a full blooded little monster, packing a lot of heat under a superbly made casing which by itself is splash proof and made out of Kevlar. The design of the phone is nothing that we haven’t seen before, but it has its own charm. The bad thing is that it is missing some physical buttons, as dedicated camera key. But, enough about its flaws, let’s see what it brings to the table.

It is a Quad-band GSM, LTE enabled device also supporting HSDPA and HSUPA types of data transfer.  It has a 4.5 inch screen covered with gorilla glass supporting 720×1280 pixels and ColorBoost technology.  Its power comes from 1.5 GHz dual-core (Krait CPU) and Adreno 225 GPU, in addition to which it works on 1GB RAM and has 8GB storage space. We also appreciate that Motorola has also left a microSD slot for the needy customers. All of this works on a slightly modified Android ICS 4.0.4 system. It has a main 8MP camera that gives out great photos and makes good video.

On the connection types covered it has a 3.5mm jack, a microHDMI port and a microUSB port that is used for charging also. It has you covered with all the wireless connection types, including Bluetooth 4.0. The only bad thing is that it has no radio and the battery is a 1780 mAh, which makes it quite small for this kind of a device. Also the battery replacement is not user friendly.

This phone will be available for USA only and it has a price of $99 with a 2 year contract with AT&T.
