Toshiba Satellite P855-10G – Glasses Free 3D

Toshiba Satellite P855-10GEvery gamer or a movie buff strives of getting their hands on some laptop, or any other portable device that will reproduce their favorite media without any lag and also for most do it in 3D, especially without those heavy tiresome glasses. Accordingly, Toshiba has met everybody’s needs with their new Satellite P855 laptop. This laptop cannot be placed in the ultrabook family, firstly because of its weight of 2.94kg.

This laptop scores high on the benchmarks and with a good reason. It packs some real heat under its smooth aluminum surface. It comes with a 15.6 full HD TFT screen with LED backlight that lowers to 1366×768 when working in 3D mode. The 3D is achieved by the software that synchronizes the 3D intensity according to your eye movement, which is recorded by the built in camera. This 3D reproduction is not that smooth as with glasses and it is a bit weary on the eyes. The 3D is accompanied by Harman Kardon stereo speakers that provide great quality.

The insides of this beast are also amazing. It has a third generation Intel Ivy Bridge processor (3610 QM) that runs on 2.3GHz and can be clocked up to 3.3GHz. This chip is accompanied by GeForce GT 640M, which will provide smooth sailing for most of the demanding games. The rest of the specs are also great, for example it has 8GB RAM and 1TB hard drive that will suffice for your every need.

Connection vise it has 4xUSB 3.0 connectors, two of which are sleep and charge enabled, 1x HDMI, 1xEthernet connector, multi card reader and microphone and headphone jack. It has a Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The last but not least it has a Blu-Ray reader.

The only “bad” thing is that the battery life is about 3 hours. This makes it a best seller for people that are willing to pay $1.199.
