Steelseries Sensei – Proffesional Revision

Steelseries SenseiThis time we are reviewing two mice from  the same company, so if someone missed the last text about one of their new revised babies, it was a masterpiece that costs less than 50€ and it is called Kinzu v2 Pro. Steelseries has revised, also, one of the top gaming mice that was screamed about and shouted for. It is their pinnacle of engineering and it has been reincarnated.

The previous mouse model that we were revising was an upgrade of a “worker” mouse. On the other hand the Sensei is a “master” of all disciplines, that’s how it got its name, which in Japanese means teacher. Physically the mouse is identical to the model Xai, which came out two years ago and was the mouse with the most number of options for fine tuning. As in the model Kinzu v2, the rough plastic that was on the top side was replaced with another, but this time it is a metal surface that looks very rigid, with a pixelated glowing logo in the back, so you will not forget  this mouse. On the lower side there is a little LCD screen, on which you can project a bitmap that you can do by yourself, or download one.

Sensei is symmetrical, fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and doesn’t cause too much sweat. The logo, the ring of the scroll wheel and the indicator lamp next to the key that is used for switching the resolution have a back light that can be separately changed through the software.

The Sensei mouse amps up the capabilities and modding settings to another level. The mouse has a 32-bit ARM processor, which will allow you to double its sensors resolution, up to amazing 11.400 tpi. Even with its normal 5700 tpi the cursor is flying. You can imagine that this setting can come in hand in a multi monitor surrounding.  It has also a lot of software capabilities called exact functions, which means adjustment of the sensor height, response, mouse response etc.

This mouse has a lot more capabilities to brag about, but to sum up it is a great mouse with wonderful new innovations, seven buttons, a great scroll and great functions. The only bad thing about it is the asking price of about 100 €.
