Asus is pushing forward these years improving in quality and performances and while it’s trying to establish one of the leader positions in the computer market they are pushing the limits with new gadgets and technologies and now they want to change the game of other companies with their new tablet. They took the tablet and showed the world that it can hold a lot more than a processor made for phones and Android operating system.

The Asus EP121 is a tablet built from the scratch by Asus and made to crush the competitors with its performances. They broke all the rules when they made this tablet. One of the rules that they bended is the tablet size now measuring 12.1 inches and a screen that comes with LED Backlight and resolution of 1280×800. The other amazing thing is that they implemented an Intel i5 dual core processor and a single RAM memory module that can hold 2GB or 4GB DDR3. The other specs are almost the same with every other tablet it has 34/64GB internal SSD storage, wireless network adapter 802.11b/g/n, a Bluetooth V3.0 and a 2MP camera.

Bending the rules a bit more they implemented two full size USB 2.0 ports , stereo speakers, a card reader that can read SD/MMC cards, a mini HDMI port and a 2 in 1 Audio jack. All of this is accompanied with a stylus that comes with it and found its place on the back corner of the tablet.

This tablet runs on a Windows 7 Home Premium edition and as you can imagine it can run any windows software that you can think of, but because of the high demanding processor and big screen you can imagine that the battery life is quite shorter than the rest of the tablets, it can hold up to 4.5h in normal usage and up to 2.5 when stressed.

Accompanied with the tablet you will get a foil case that will support it in upright angle and a sleek Bluetooth keyboard. The price as you can imagine is quite high and for the one with smaller RAM and SSD space is about $1000.
