Asus Zenbook

Asus has hit the mark with their Zenbook ultrabooks and after the main shock the shimmers continued and now they are going to shimmer again with Asus refreshed Zenbook. Considering that the first ultrabooks were ok, but they did not hit the mark totally, this time Asus wants to correct all of the previous mistakes made, with the Zenbook Prime. The first time they made it almost perfect. It had perfect body, it was portable, but on the other side it had a bad keyboard, not so good display and touchpad.

The second generation Zenbook is not just better inside, it has improved in all of the sectors. It doesn’t just have a better chip, it has an improved keyboard, display and everything that was a bit flimsy. Now it runs on an Ivy Bridge platform, even though Intel had an embargo on the Ivy Bridge when Asus introduced the Zenbook Prime.  Because it is still in developments and only the test laptops are released the specs about the CPU are still a secret. The only thing we know is that it will work on third generation Intel processor and it will pump out great scores on the benchmark. In the offer there will be an 11 inch one with graphics of 1366 x 768 pixels, that is quite a lot for a laptop that size and several 13 inch ones with 1080p quality. One of the 13 inch ultrabooks will even have an IPS display that will give out great viewing angles and illumination, but I don’t know about refresh rate, because IPS displays are a bit slow with the frame rates. There is going to be a choice to have a touch screen, to go with windows 8 metro.

The other specs are 4GB RAM, a choice between 128GB and 256GB SSD drive, an Intel i5 or i7 processor and on the best 13 inch you will have a discrete graphic card.

With this improved series of Zenbook, Asus is going to hit the spot and continue their great sales. Zenbook was remembered by a lot of people for its almost perfect design and implemented hardware but with this improved version they are going to idolize it.
