The company Limb.al developed this fresh idea by the Brooklyn- based designer Bill May in order to make the commonly known USB charger more fun and to combine it with a smartphone stand.

Here’s what’s all this about- the charger/stand provides the smartphone the charging option, plus combining it with the new function- acting as a secondary computer, or laptop display.

It’s a stiff and yet flexible cable gadget, which has a standard USB connector on one side and ends with a micro USB or Apple’s 30- pin jack, depends on the smartphone used.

The production and design teams reported that it has very solid build and once the smartphone is attached to the stand, there’s no way for the smartphone to detach, no matter where or how it is connected. There’s even a guarantee, on the project’s website that a force of 8 Newtons is required to detach the phone from the jack, standard for the USB ports, which is more than the gravity itself.

It is totally adjustable and this will allow the users to position the gadget wherever or however they want, depending on the position of the USB ports on their computers.

With the Limb.al, the users will be able to use their smartphones as an extra display. This can come in hand in many situations. This gadget can provide the user the possibility of an additional video call display and can be compatible with Skype and the other video chat applications- connected with the main screen, or to act as a stand- alone.

As shown, the users can move all the necessary widgets and also feed windows from the main screen, in order to de-clutter.

Since it is a USB device, the users can connect it to the USB chargers in the car, in order to act as a GPS device, while using the appropriate applications.

Everybody can follow the funding and to contribute to this project on Kickstand. The designer grants one piece for a minimum pledge of 17$.
