The magician from the Xperia family is here. We’re presenting you- Xperia sola, the last Xperia model launched on the market, which has some magic for you.
This smartphone presents the new technology named “floating touch”, which can be described as new sensational way of browsing your favourite internet content without touching the screen.
Now the user has the possibility to interact with the touchscreen even from a distance of 20 mm.
The fingertip can be detected by the screen and its motion can be registered and used in scrolling, highlighting links, even in interacting with the special live wallpapers.
As stated, the “floating touch” technology will open the door for many new possibilities for the developers.
About the specifications- this smartphone runs on Android 2.3 out of the box, but a 4.0 upgrade is expected during the second quarter of 2012. Inside the stylish housing, which measures 116 x 59 x 9.9 mm, there are dual- core 1 GHz processor and a “NovaThor” chipset, which is reported to run very smoothly and 512 MB RAM.
The rear camera is 5 MP, with flash and autofocus, capable of HD recording. No problem for saving your files, Xperia sola has 8 GB of internal memory, extendable with microSD cards.
The screen of this magician is 3.7 inches LCD, scratch resistant and mineral glass, powered by Bravia engine. This, together with the xLOUD and 3D surround sound, will enhance the entertainment experience for sure. The colours available for the phone are black, white and red. Of course, the phone is packed with GPS, Wi-Fi, Stereo FM radio with RDS, 3.5 mm jack, Bluetooth, Java, pre- installed applications and a 1320 mAh battery and it weights 107 grams.
Since it’s compatible, the phone comes with the NFC Sony Xperia SmartTags, which can come very handy.
If everything goes well with the OTA Ice Cream Sandwich update, this model will position itself as a leader on the market, in its own class.
