Everybody knows how important the sleep to a newborn child is. We all think that all of the parents want to see their child sleeping tight in a safe environment. A tight sleeping baby would mean time to rest for them also. There are many crib- like products on the market that promise to provide good sleep to the babies, but this one is a bit different.

The project is developed and designed by Lana Agiyan and it is a hypoallergenic baby bed, in a shape of a transparent bowl.

Inspired by the traditional balancing Russian toy, called Nevalyashka, this vacuum- thermoformed, blow- molded acrylic baby bed can be rocked in any direction, to a 17 degree angle. No worries, it would come to the first position, since it has a 15 kg Plexiglas weight center.

The bed’s mattress has a layer made of buckwheat hulls and the designer states that it would be perfect for the babies, since its antibacterial and hypoallergenic, anti- fungal and very important- breathable and anti-odor. Because of the softness, it can mold around the baby’s body, to provide the safety and comfort. The bowl is transparent, so the parents can monitor their loved ones.

Another important thing to be mentioned in the specifications is the coating, made from liquid polymer, which contains nano- titanium dioxide layer. The last one is created in cooperation with the Estonian company Nano-formula and it is stated that it will improve the transparency, the ionization of the bed itself, thus will make it self- cleaning and also odor- eliminating. The nano-titanium dioxide layer will react when exposed to sunlight and will degrade filth on the surface and will heal the scratches, which are a place for dwelling bacteria. The materials in generals are eco-friendly and the product is certified from the European Union as safe to use.

Excellent news for the parents, but there’s still no word on the price of the product.
