The V-moda VAMP by itself is a portable headphone/DAC amplifier combo that works on iPhone 4 and 4S and it comes with its own battery that can prolong your phone life time and supply itself with power at the same time. It has a great look and it is a part of an iPhone case that looks a bit like other battery packs, but with a great high grade aluminum finish at the back. It will make your phone look chunky, but it is worth it. It provides an optical S/PDIF output that will provide desktop interface with its own digital decoder and headphone amplifier function. It holds a 2200mAh battery that will give you up to eight hours additional listening time or battery life for anything that you need.
Except for the basic amplifier functions it has an additional output control that is represented by a physical knob that is really rare to see.
