Even though Intel doesn’t have a competitor for a while now, this American giant doesn’t sit on its hands. Sandy Bridge was a total hit for desktop computers, as for portable computer systems and when everyone thought that they don’t have anything new to show, in this tick year, they surprised everyone, with their Ivy Bridge. Asus is one of the first ones that implemented this architecture in their laptops. They started implementing new technologies in their laptop in their N5X series and bettering their product by implementing higher quality parts and now this trend has continued with their newest series, NX6.

In it, except for the newest Intel architecture, they implemented discrete graphic cards from the newest NVidia 600M series, which guaranties great performances. The buyers can choose between the screen diagonal and screen resolution, the type of optical device, how big and what kind of a hard drive to have implemented and also the Windows edition; in short, you could configure your favorite laptop, so it would be perfect for you as a user and cost as much as you really can afford.

The one that we are reviewing has a quad core i7-3610QM processor. Just to say that the increase in performances is great, when comparing Ivy Bridge with Sandy Bridge. The models that have a VM suffix have NVidias GT630M graphic card, which is a lower segment card, but it still copes with the newest games, but not in full detail. The ones with a VZ suffix have a GT650M card that should give them better performances. Except for 6GB DDR3 memory, this version is equipped with a 750GB Seagate hard drive that has great performances.

The display of this laptop is a full HD screen, with great lighting 300cd/m2, great color saturation, great viewing angles and the fact that is a non-glossy screen makes it perfect. All of its USB ports are USB 3.0 that is for recommendation and it has Bang & Olufsen speakers that give out great sound. It is built out of high quality materials and the keyboard and scroll surface are almost perfect.

All in all cheers for Asus for making one of the best laptops. We highly recommend it.
