The Taiwanese HTC brings us a new Desire C, a heavily rumored Android phone, which photos leaked on several mobile phone web pages in the last month. The blurry images showed a smaller device with only 3 capacitive buttons, common for the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which design was somehow familiar. Previously codenamed HTC Wildfire C and HTC Golf, the device did some close-up shots.

We can clearly see that the device resembles the design of the Wildfire family, but at the end, HTC decided to give the Desire family name.

From the specs we can see, it’s planned to be a entry-level Android device that will run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). HTC decided to put this new kind of a low-end device instead of upgrading the existing ones.

So far, the specifications are the following: the mobile phone has a unibody design, common for the latest HTC devices, a capacitive HVGA touchscreen, with resolution of 320 X 480 pixels and measures 3.5 inches. It runs on a single-core 600 MHz processor, which is considered, outdates these days.

When it comes to connectivity, the phone is 3.5G, presumably HSDPA, with Wi-Fi and AGPS.
It comes with built- in internal memory of 4 GB, extendable with a microSD card slot, 512 MB of RAM and also a 5 MP back camera.
HTC provided a 1230 mAh battery and from the logo that we can clearly see on the leaked images, the Beats Audio is present- maybe this means that the device will come with a set of Beats Audio earphones and Beats Audio sound. Also, there is the HTC’s Sense 4.0 UI.

The expected price is below 200 €.

The specifications came from the Vodafone Portugal website’s catalogue and everybody expects the official announcing and a full review of the device very soon.
