Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio – Charging While Protecting

Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio

Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio

This is the Logitech’s latest, solar powered gadget. This ultra-thin and sleek folio is an actual Bluetooth keyboard for iPad or  iPad 2, designed in the form of a protective case.

The environmentally friendly gadget is powered by light- from low or lamp light to bright or daylight or sunlight. The built-in rechargeable Ni-Mh batteries, charged by solar cells, when fully powered, can hold on up to 1000 hours or up to two years with an average use of 2 hours per day- as specified by Logitech.

It gives the users an absolute protection for the iPad, for both front and back. This means putting in or out of a bag without any hassle. It comes with this awesome possibility- when the Solar Keyboard Folio is opened, it can be set to wake the iPad up and also, to put it to sleep, when closed. Handy isn’t it?

Another great thing is the provided multiview stand- a possibility for two comfortable viewing angles or modes.
The first one is the typing one, when the user uses the full keyboard and the second one is the entertainment one, when the user covers the keyboard and uses only the practically positioned and easily accessible media and volume keys.

Measuring 428 X 17.8 X 253 mm, weighting 460 gr. and obviously practical, it will give the users an excellent experience. Made from black, soft faux-leather and light plastic, it’s an awesome accessory for every iPad lover.
It will work smoothly with an iPad of the 3rd generation or iPad 2 and will connect with the tablet via Bluetooth 3.0.

The model intended for the European market has a keyboard layout of 65 keys and for the American market- a keyboard layout of 64 keys.

The price is 129.99$, only available in pre-order for now, but expect it in the stores this month.
