Earlier we described how Google wants to see the everyday life, with their Google Glass project. They imagined people implementing technology in their everyday activities. Following this trend Epson is joining this game, in their-own revolutionary way. They saw that people don’t like wearing 3D glasses and 3D helmets that will totally block their senses and make them unaware of the surrounding environment, so they came up with 3D see-through glasses that will give the user what he wanted, an unprecedented 3D environment without losing the view of the rest of the world.

The glasses are made of a see-through glass, on which the little monitors show the 3D picture in qHD quality and the viewing dimensions should duplicate an 80 inch screen. The glasses themselves are connected by wire to a controller that works on Android 2.2 (that’s a bummer), modified by Ericson with their own UI. The controller has a touch surface that is used to go through the content, accompanied by the standard Android buttons. The details on the processor are unknown but, we know that the gadget holds 1GB onboard storage and a microSD slot that comes equipped with a 4GB card. The gadget is also capable of reproducing content over 6 hours without needing to recharge. It also comes with a Wi-Fi adapter, giving you the ability to connect and download content. The sound system produces a high quality Dolby digital sound.

Based on the fact that works on Android, you can download software and update the gadget. All kind of 3D and 2D video content is supported and many types of audio formats. For this ultimate pleasure you won’t have to spend a dime more than $700. Yes you are reading this right; it costs more than a big screen TV, or a top of the line phone. But someone might like having the pleasure of hedonist satisfaction; I know I would, if I just had the cash.
