Toshiba is going to renew their tablet collection with some brand new models. It has introduced in CES and again in Mobile World Congress their tablets. They got some bad remarks about being a bit chunky and having a bad battery life but, all of that is fixed now, and they even got a new aluminum back. The selection of tablets will fall upon 3 types or sizes of tablets. In their offer they have a 7, 10 inch and even a 13 inch tablet. Yes you are seeing right, there will be a 13 inch one. A lot of reviewers are asking if there is going to be a market for a tablet this big. But Toshiba is convinced that it will find its way in the kitchen. Again, yes the kitchen. They think that there are a lot of people that want to share experiences on a tablet like, viewing pictures or movies but, the tablets so far are too small. And the regular housewife would like to search for recipes or watch something on the tablet, while working.
This laptop sized tablet is going to work on Androids’ Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0, powered by a 1.5GHz quad core Tegra 3 processor and 1GB of RAM. The screen is going to be super AMOLED with screen resolution of (1600 x 900) with Gorilla Glass protection, from external slots there will be a micro USB port, micro HDMI port and a full sized SD card slot. There are four speakers sticking out of the aluminum back that will give you great audio satisfaction. On the front side there is a 2MP front facing camera and a 5MP rear facing camera with led flash. The tablet comes with a stand that will relive you of holding this big piece of tech. Even though it’s quite big, it weighs 2.2 pounds and it is quite thin.
This tablet will hit the shelves in June at prices of $629 for the 32GB model and $750 for the 64GB model. So housewife’s here is your dream come true.
