Sony as a producer of gadgets has always made some impressive stuff and it is the case again with their Sony SRS-BTV25. It is a Bluetooth wireless omnidirectional speaker firstly made for their phones but it is also aimed for the iPhone, iPods and all the “i” market and every device that has Bluetooth connectivity including even some MP3 players.
Even though Bluetooth capable speakers are not a novelty the Sony SRS-BTV25 makes its mark on the market with its unusual form and great punching sounds. The overall ball look of the device makes it very pleasant and with its capabilities makes it a great accessory to have in the home.
The Sony SRS-BTV25 has 2 speakers inside it willowy body casing. It houses a 20mm tweeter that found its place on top of the shell and it is pointed downwards at a deflector that spreads the sounds and at the same time there is a 56mm woofer that is pointed upwards at the same deflector. The result is an excellent sound that holds in line with the given prospect figures and the sound is produced in full 360 degree spectrum and sounds great where ever you are in the room.Of course you are not going to have the stereo sound, because it is not the main purpose of the device but it is still good enough. It is ranged to be 13W which is quite good for this kind of speaker. It has built in six buttons on top even though you can control the speaker with your smart phone. There is also an audio in on the back and a USB port for charging your phone.
Thy have another version that holds an iPod dock and have rechargeable batteries as well. This makes it portable giving you the opportunity to hear your favorite sounds wherever you want.
The biggest issue is the pricing. It holds a UK price of £150 making it one of the most expensive Bluetooth speakers, so I don’t know if there is going to be a lot of buyers.
