EUROCOM a company that makes top of the line laptop for the American public has introduced their top of the line laptop, respectfully named Panther 4.0.A portable work station, a portable server and a gaming machine – all of this is packed in the EUROCOM Panther 4.0, as the maker claims. In its heavy, but still portable shell this server laptop has all the best components that a modern day workstation would have. The price for the laptop varies from the consumers choices,from the parts that they implement and it can get to amazing heights of about $17000 just for the inside parts, excluding any software or additional hardware gadgets.

So let’s see what you can have for measly $17000. Have in mind that this is the maximum you can implement (you can have a “cheap” configuration with minimum cost of $3.490). The first thing is the 3D 17”inch screen with full HD and LED back-light. Keyboard back light, finger scanner and a hardware security chip for data encryption. You can put up to 4 SSD hard drives with maximum capacity of 600GB , SATA 300 each, or a 480GB SSD with SATA 600 capability with amazing speeds of 520Mb/s writing and 550Mb/s reading. The hard drives can work in RAID 0/1/5/10. There is a choice of implementing two 2GB GeForce 580m GTX in SLI mode or the expensive professional 4GB Quadro 5010M, also in SLI mode. For the raw processing power you have an Intel Core i7-3960X that can bust up to 3.9GHz and the maximum of 32GB DDR3-1600GHz RAM memory. You can also implement a lot more add-ons and technologies and the limit is just your pocket.

For all of this don’t expect to see an ultra-book. This chubby laptop has dimensions of (419x286x62.1 mm) and an overall weight of 5.5kg, but, that is a small price to pay for all the raw power it can provide.
